Design

One piece. Since the Paleozoic.

No seams. No screws. No glue. Rock, all the way through.

Drag to inspect.

Finish

Wet finish requires water. Water not included.

Chip

Powered by quartz.

The same mineral that keeps time inside your watch, vibrating 32,768 times a second. Inside The Rock, it does something even more impressive: nothing.

No display.

No notifications. No updates. No screen time.

Or so we thought.

Slice it to 30 microns. Light it between two polarizers.

Move to look through the polarizer. Touch to look through the polarizer.

The display was inside all along.

Real optics. Every color is computed from each mineral's birefringence at 30 µm, the standard thickness geologists use. Drag to rotate the stage.

Durability

Mohs 7.

Your phone scratches at 6.1

Quartz sits at 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Most smartphone cover glass starts scratching at 6. The Rock does not need a case. Your phone might.

Drag The Rock across the glass.

Typical phone cover glass · Mohs ~6
